Why do we give a stainless steel crown for front teeth?
In children with severely affected by dental caries or Early childhood caries, the tooth structure will be compromised to such a extent that almost 2/3 rd of the tooth structure is lost or only the root stumps remain where in a filling or a strip crown cannot be done. Hence an anterior veneered stainless steel crown is given
Will it look good?
Yes, definitely better than before. Except for a small line of the metal will be seen outside.
Will it fall or fracture on its own?
No. These crowns are more stronger than the strip crowns . if the child falls down or hits on something really hard, there are chances that the crown might fracture.
